Step one: the private consultation
Everything starts with a 90-minute private consultation. This isn't a sales call. It's a deep conversation about your life, your relationship history, and what you're genuinely looking for — including the things that are hard to articulate on a form.
We'll ask about past relationships and what you've learned from them. We'll talk about your values, your lifestyle, your non-negotiables, and the areas where you're flexible. We'll also be honest with you: if we don't think we can help you, we'll say so. Taking on a client we can't serve well helps nobody.
By the end, we have a clear picture of who you are and what a good match looks like — and you have a clear picture of how we work and whether it feels right.
Step two: thorough vetting
Before any introductions happen, there's a vetting process, and it's more thorough than most people expect. We check personal character references — real conversations with people who know the candidate — because how someone treats the people in their life tells you more than any profile ever could.
This applies to everyone in the process, and it's one of the main things you're paying for. When you sit down for a first date through us, you know the person across the table has been vouched for by people who know them. That changes the entire texture of early dating: less guardedness, more genuine conversation.
We'll be direct about this: the vetting is in-depth, and it should be. You're trusting us with something important. We take that seriously.
Step three: personal introductions
Once vetting is complete, we start making introductions. These aren't algorithm matches or database searches — they're personal recommendations from people who know you.
Expect your first introduction within weeks, not days. Anyone who promises you a perfect match in 48 hours is selling something. Thoughtful matching takes time: we need to understand the candidate pool, have real conversations, and make sure an introduction is worth both people's time.
Each introduction is arranged personally. You'll know why we think it's a good fit, and the other person will know the same about you. No awkward cold messages, no wondering if they're even serious about dating.
Step four: feedback and ongoing communication
This is where high-touch matchmaking separates itself from the alternatives. After each introduction, we check in with both people. What worked? What didn't? Was there a spark, and if not, why?
That feedback loop is genuinely valuable. Patterns emerge — sometimes clients discover their stated preferences and their actual chemistry point in different directions, and that's useful information. We adjust the search accordingly.
And we're available throughout, not just after dates. Questions, second thoughts, pre-date nerves — that's all part of the service. Matchmaking works best as an ongoing relationship, not a transaction.
What it costs and how long it lasts
Our practice runs on a simple model: $300/month with a three-month minimum. That covers the consultation, vetting, introductions, and ongoing support. The monthly structure means we're accountable to you continuously — not collecting a large upfront fee and disappearing.
As for timeline: most clients see their first introduction within a few weeks of completing vetting. How long the overall process takes depends on selectivity, availability of strong matches, and frankly some luck. We'll give you an honest read on your specific situation during the consultation rather than a generic promise.
What happens when an introduction doesn't click
Worth addressing directly, because it will happen: not every introduction leads somewhere. That's normal, and it's not failure — it's information.
When there's no spark, we talk about why. Sometimes it's obvious (different life stages, no physical chemistry). Sometimes it's subtle and worth unpacking. Either way, the feedback sharpens the next introduction. Clients sometimes worry that a "no" reflects badly on them. It doesn't. It reflects the reality that compatibility is specific, and finding it takes a few attempts.
What we don't do is disappear after a miss. The check-in after every introduction is non-negotiable — it's the mechanism by which the service improves for you over time.
What we need from you
Matchmaking is a partnership. The clients who get the most out of it are open — open about what they want, open to feedback, and open to meeting people who might not match a checklist but match them as a person. We'll do the searching, vetting, and arranging. Your job is to show up genuinely and tell us the truth about how it went.
